Southeast Medical University (SEU) is one of the social universities affiliated directly to the MoE of China and is ranked in "985 Project" and "211 Project". The origin of the SEU can be found back in 1902 when it was established as the Sanjiang Normal College. Although the main campus of this university is located in the capital city of Nanjing. This university covering 427 hectares area because of having 4 campuses.

This university gets ranked in top 10 universities in scientific research and development in China with more than 20 national or provincial research institutes and many major research bases. In today time, this university having 6000 staff and faculty and a huge number of students i.e.26000.

Southeast Medical University has many key aspects like:

1.6 basic medical departments

2. 12 clinical medical departments

3. 14 research institutes

4. One teaching center for medical experiments

5. 2 key labs financed by Jiangsu Province and MOE.

6. 10 teaching hospitals which occupy more than 10,000 inpatient beds for a clinical education center.

More than 2400 students enrolled at a university, in which subsist 1400 bachelor students, 622 master students, 143 doctoral students and 390 students who came from more than 20 countries.

Almost 150 teachers and scientists who are committed to teaching and research on basic medicine, and except this teacher there are 1000 physicians who have twice duties one for a clinic and other for research in the teaching hospitals.

The MBBS program is open to international students since 2006 and in 2007 the MBBS program was approved by MOE as a qualified university to be taught in English.In recent years, the school has established friendly cooperation relations with renowned medical colleges in the U.S., German and England to expand the channels of diagnostic medical education, research, facilities and talent training.

SEU are accredited by WHO and MBBS program graduates, eligible to take medical licensing examination organized by the medical council in various countries such as MCI, PMDC, USMELE, HPCSA, SHS etc.

Internship and Career

If you want to do internship program/training then this university also provided this facility to their students. Or if you want to do training from their home country then SEU provided this facility to you. Internship fee is 30,000 RMB per year.

You can choose the hospital in which you want to train yourself from 20 hospitals in Nanjing which offered by SEU. Before the internship, a candidate needs to pass the HSK level; otherwise, the university will provide a Chinese student as the translator to comfort you during the internship. No need to worry about accommodation because respect hospital provided you accommodation facility.

SEU hold 10 affiliated hospitals of different sections and more than 40 hospitals around China. If the candidate wants to do the internship program in another country, then SEU provided this facility to the student and need to do a qualification evaluation on the hospital which was selected by the student. And when the internship is over; they should end the relative internship report and return the internship certificate. 

Southeast Medical University Admission and Application: 

If you want to get enrolled with SEU then you apply for this in two types: one is Online and another one is Offline.

Entry Requirements:

Student at least 16 year's old and their age should be more than 16, passed high school graduate or above, healthy foreigners.

Application Substance:

1. Photocopy of Passport

2. Recent passport size Photo

3. Original senior high school diploma (notarized in Chinese or in English)

4.  Original high school records (notarized in Chinese or in English)

5. Authorized Copy of TOEFL score (TOEFL score 550 or above in paper-based test/ 61 or above in computer-based test, or IELTS score 5.0 or above for those students whose mother language is not English).

How to Apply

There are two types of application methods for international candidates to study in MBBS course at China's universities in English Medium. They can select the easy and fast online application system or the traditional offline application via Email.

Online Application Procedures

 If you want to send your application form via online then you have followed the four main sections like: 1. Click “Apply Now” button but first, you check that you are registered or not if not then firstly you registered yourself.

2. Fill out the online application form with original details like personal information, education background, language proficiency, etc.

3. Upload the required application materials

After that upload, your scanned required documents meet to the university's admission process. Remember that you document should be in the proper format like documents in (.DOC) and in pdf should be in .pdf format. Your image should be in (.gif, .jpg) format or compressed documents should be in (.rar, or .zip) format. All files cannot exceed 8MB.

4. Make payment

Uploading all needed documents then you move ahead with payment. Select your payment method and done the payment but securely.

5. Submit application

After doing payment and other process and you found no mistake in your information then you submit your application form. Before submitting your form at least you should re-check your form.

Offline Application Procedures

 To Apply Via Email, you should follow these steps:

1. Select an MBBS program；

2. Then click on "Apply via Email" so that you download the rewritable application form.

3. Then open this form in MS Word and fill in required information, remembered that entered information is proper and correct to receive your JW 202 form;

4. Send us the completed form and other required application documents;

5. Pay the Application Fee and keep the receipt;

6.  Check your application process via email periodically.
